Nong Khai Hotels Guide
I only wish the prices of hotels and the standard provided in Nong Khai were available in many other places in Thailand. You do really get a good bang for the buck, as the Americans say – value for money.
- Under 1000 THB (32 USD): Under 1000 THB will get you a good room. Maybe lacking some of the bells and whistles, but comfortable, clean, and ideal for anyone staying for a night or two. Budget fan rooms can be found for under 500 THB (16 USD).
- Over 1000 – 2000 THB (32 – 64 USD): Rooms at this price would be double the price in Bangkok. Somewhere like Amanta hotel is a good example of a great hotel at an excellent price. I don’t see any need for most people to spend above 2000 THB in Nong Khai for a hotel room.
- Over 2000 THB (64 USD): A few options are available above the 2000 THB range that you can choose, but not so many. Family rooms at certain hotels with more beds required may cost above 2000 THB for obvious reasons of more people staying etc.
Finding a Nong Khai Hotel & Booking
The obvious first place to look is online at websites such as Booking.Com, Agoda, and others. There are other options that may not be on the main booking sites as well, but this is going to take more research time for you.
Backpackers and travellers passing through Nong Khai could also pick up a room (mainly at guesthouses) when just stopping by and walking in without a booking. For most of the best hotels and rooms, it would be hard to find rooms available.
Advance Booking
For the best hotels and rooms, I would book as early as possible, especially when there are any Thailand holidays within that period of your planned stay.
I’m Jonesy. The one responsible for whole lot of things including having this Thailand site up and running. I first arrived in Thailand in 2008 and being a web developer it made sense to create a website and write some stuff about my second home. Enjoy your travels!
