Wat Lam Duan Temple In Nong Khai
Wat Lam Duan temple in Nong Khai is conveniently located on the main riverfront promenade area of the Rim Kong Alley, and near the main guesthouse and hotel area for travellers.
Getting there: It is easy to find along the Rim Kong Alley (riverfront) and opposite the large Naga Heads monument.
- A visit to Wat Lam Duan is one of the various things to do in Nong Khai and attractions to choose from when planning activities. It’s also worth noting that this is one of many Temples in Nong Khai.
The main attraction of this temple in Nong Khai for travellers is the golden-coloured Buddha seated on the top (bot – chapel) overlooking and protecting the Mekong River to Laos.
You may take your shoes off and walk up to view the Mekong by walking up the stairs if you wish.
The lower area has a large altar area where worshipers light incense and pray.
There’s not a lot I can say about this temple apart from checking it out while taking a bicycle ride, if you can, along the Mekong, Nong Khai promenade. This area is beautiful at sunset.
I’m Jonesy. The one responsible for whole lot of things including having this Thailand site up and running. I first arrived in Thailand in 2008 and being a web developer it made sense to create a website and write some stuff about my second home. Enjoy your travels!
