Where to Buy Shaving Products and Supplies in Thailand?

Shaving Accessories On Wooden Background

Not packed enough shaving cream, soap, razor blades or any other shaving supplies to bring along with you to Thailand?

Not to worry, there are options. Maybe not quite as good or as many as back in your home country, but you can get various supplies.

Being the owner of ShavingAdvisor I have had to put my buying and searching to buy skills into action as a can of foam from Boots and my pack of Mach3 blades wasn’t going to cut the mustard.

I will run through what I know is available off and online for guys and gals that use a cartridge razor with foam or shaving gel, and then onto the more fussy wet shaving guys that use straight razors, safety razors and all the supplies that go with them.

Not forgetting, what I could find on electric shavers as well. This was going to be quite limited for sure!

Note: I’m going to update this as and when something useful comes along and if you spot some great product somewhere please do give me a shout HERE. You’ll be really helping others out!

Cartridge Razors and Blades, Shaving Foams and Gels……..

You are going to be able to get your basic shaving supplies in many types of shops and stores and sometimes randomly in a shop you might not expect to.

Shops and Stores

Many of the 7/11’s sell Gillette Mach3 razors and blade refills. They cost quite a bit more here than in the west, but they can be bought. 7/11’s also have some type of shaving foams in a can.

Boots are also a store that sell some kind of shaving products like cartridge razors and shaving foam, and possibly an option for shaving gels as well. Not all Boots stock the same supplies and the bigger the shop the more choices.

Other western type stores like Villa Market, Tops, Lotus’s, Max Value and Central will sell cartridge razors or the blades (going to cost more than back home of course) and shaving foams. I have seen Barbasol in Villa Market and Lotus’s which is a decent shaving foam or cream in a can.

Lotus’s (above pic) – Stock plenty of Gillette products and others including gels and disposable razors

Max Value (above pic) – Also stock enough Gillette products and others including gels and disposable razors. Max Value’s are mainly around Bangkok and other cities (although limited)

Buying Online

The best online store I have found for cartridge razors and shaving foams or gels like Gillette or Barbasol is Lazada which is like an Amazon for Thailand. They have various sellers selling products under one umbrella – Lazada.

I’ve used Lazada a lot and they have been really useful, and the only option in many circumstances. Good thing about these is that you can also pay on delivery if you want to use Thai Baht and not pay costs on a CC or Debit card from abroad.

Gillette Mach3 Products At Lazada

As you can see Lazada stock plenty of Mach3 products, although more expensive than back home. They sell Fusion and women’s Gillette stuff as well.

Barbasol Shaving Products At Lazada Thailand

Barbasol products are much more limited. You can pick up various cans of their foam though from Lazada if needed.

Many places also sell disposables including 7/11 and Lotus’s if you and your skin are okay with them.

If you run out of shaving foam or cream then you can use a lot of other stuff like hair conditioner that works well and does the job. Here are some alternatives!

Wet Shaving Supplies (i.e., safety razors, blades etc.)

Safety razors, shaving creams and soaps and razor blades are not as easy to get hold of as cartridge razors and foam or gels in Thailand. There are options though if you never brought over enough supply when you headed over here from your home country.

Truefitt and Hill Barbershop – Bangkok

If you fancy a real gentleman’s barber experience on your travels then Truefitt and Hill is a place to check out. It’s a wet shaving barbershop brand that is the oldest ever recorded in the world that’s based and originated in London, UK.

Yeah. It ain’t cheap but as a one off top of the range hair cut, head shave, facial shave or any of the others services are worth the treat.

I’ve booked myself in for a head and face shave and each costs a 1000 THB for 30 mins which I don’t think is too bad.

They also have a range of products including some very good shaving creams. These are pricey and even a tube costs over a 1000 THB, but it’s top shelf stuff.

Truefitt And Hill Shaving Creams In Bangkok Emporium

Truefitt and Hill only have shops in Bangkok at the moment which includes Emporium, Central Embassy, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, and Gaysorn Village.

Find out more at their website truefittandhillthailand.com/ or on the facebook page.

Shopping Online

The best options I have found are online as there are just no offline shops specifically for a wide range of shaving products and even online is limited.

Lazada – Lazada again is a decent option. They sell some Merkur, Parker, Edwin Jagger, MÜHLE, and other safety razors that are not priced that steeply. Just make sure you look into the store inside Lazada’s online store and also check the delivery dates and costs as some can be outside of Thailand and take some time to deliver.

Lazada also sell creams and soaps like Proraso, Arko and a couple of others. They’ve got a few cheap shaving brushes but none of the good makers and brands that I have seen.

You can pick DE safety razor blades easily enough from Lazada. The best I have seen have been Derby, Feather, and Astra which most guys can get along with.

One thing I like about Lazada as mentioned above is being able to pay on delivery. Any issues that can’t be resolved then just don’t pay.

ManofSiam – Man OF Siam is an online retailer in shaving products who are a distributor for MUHLE, Parker, and Merkur. I have recently found them online and have been making contact with them.

At the moment a lot of their stock appears sold out including the HeadBlade razor I wanted. I msged them on the instant chat and they emailed me back a day later to say they do not have the razor.

Their about page gives an about of the company MÜHLE which is odd!

Who knows whether the Covid situation has affected their business (likely). I’m going to order something from here and report back.

They have a website manofsiam.com and a facebook page and the website states they offer free delivery throughout Thailand.

SiamWetShave – This is another online store and these stock a good amount of shaving cream and soap options including Old Taylor of Bond St, Tabac, Razorock, Proraso and others which is great to see.

This store stocks MÜHLE, Parker and Edwin Jagger safety razors mostly and a selection of brushes. They also stock a small selection of straight razors, razor blades and other supplies.

SimaWetShave seems to have more stock than ManOfSiam and has more of a following on facebook. And they have an about page that tells us something about them.

I am going to make contact with SiamWetShave and ManOfSiam after making an order and then report back here regarding delivery, product and service. If you have used any of these do let us know if possible.

You can check these out at siamwetshave.com or their facebook page.

Electric Shavers

Electric shavers can be bought in Thailand and like other shaving gear there’s no where near as much choice.

The best options to purchase a shaver is either Lazada or at a Central store as they do sell a number of options. Central has a few top of the range Braun and Phillips shavers and then a bigger selection of the cheaper series and brands.

Lazada also has some of the top of the range Braun Series and Phillips and the cheaper series. They have plenty of other cheap options.

The top of the range electric razors are very pricey (up to approx. 16’000 THB) which is the same anyway in the US, UK and EU.

An issue a buyer could have with purchasing or owning an electric shaver in Thailand is getting the cartridge/foil refills, although they do have some at Lazada, I don’t see a lot available (if they stop stocking them then the shaver could be useless here).

That just about wraps it up for now on Where to Buy Shaving Products and Supplies in Thailand. I shall be back with updates. See you at the next Thailand article!
