Annually a flower show/festival is held at Suan Luang Rama IX park, a park many foreigners name Kings park. A page covers all the general information about Suan Luang here – while this article is about giving the flower show a mention.
This year (2016) I believe was the 26th flower festival held here. At any time of the year this park is beautiful and has attractive flower beds, but during the flower show period (29th Nov – 10th Dec approx) the temperature has dropped enough to make walking around the park nice and comfortable.
Near the pagoda area Buddhist monks was chanting on this occasion I visited. I would think this was in respect and remembrance of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej whom passed away this (Oct 13, 2016).

While the flower festival is a special time of the year with beautiful displays Suan Luang is also great to visit from November – March (cooler temperatures) with many other attractive displays including the Valentines.
